Bruce Cook and his wife, Eileen have lived in Sanford NC since October 2007 with our rescued pooch Pumpkin. Favorite things to do include writing, websites, gardening, driving, and scuba diving. We have three children who live in the Chicago area - Chris (who works in online marketing), Helen (a school reading specialist), and Bruce Jr. (an accountant). I also have a son, Calico, who is a college webmaster in Seattle. I have a B.A. in Radio-Television from Ohio Wesleyan University, an M.A. in Speech Arts from San Diego State University, and a Ph.D. in Communication from Temple University, Philadelphia. I have served as Trustee of David C. Cook Foundation, Elgin, Illinois, 1972-83; and Trustee, Village of Sleepy Hollow, 1983-1987. I was director of Illinois Municipal Institute, Dundee, 1983-88; Managing Editor Senior American Newspapers, 1988-90; and have been publisher/director of my own startup, Cook Communication Corporation, since 1990. Recently I retired from the Chicago Sun-Times. Last year I joined colleagues from Author-me.com to establish a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization for new writers, World Writers Resources, Inc. I regularly publish various websites, mostly for emerging writers: www.author-me.com, www.reservebooks.com, www.innisfreepoetry.org, and www.enskyment.org. I have published a number of books for various authors, which are listed in my online bookstore at the Author-me Bookstore (www.reservebook.com). I have an annual listing in Who's Who in America.
